Project: Review — my first website, built with Google AI Studio
Built with: Netlify, Google AI Studio · See the site
I was deeply inspired after reading The Almanack of Naval Ravikant and watching his 2025 interviews. Since I am currently learning English and have a strong passion for AI, I wanted to combine these interests. I knew that many people are using AI to rapidly build and launch websites, so I was eager to try it myself.
After some research, I used Google AI Studio to quickly create this website—the process felt absolutely magical. This project represents the intersection of my English studies and my desire to build and deploy a site using AI.
The website features excerpts from the interviews in both Chinese and English. It includes English audio, though it sometimes cuts off before the end. Furthermore, the pronunciation sounds a bit robotic and unnatural. (This actually sparked my curiosity: Is there technology that can easily generate authentic, native-sounding speech? I did some small research on this which I’ll share later.)
I love these interviews and want to use the content to improve my English. However, when I commute to work, the signal is bad on the train, so I can’t always stream podcasts on YouTube. This website solves that pain point for me, allowing me to take my time reading the text.
